2019 AJA Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Malibu Coast

Our 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely delightful. This bright and rich Cabernet Sauvignon is flavorful packed with red and black berries, cherries and a hint of licorice. Notes of salinity, damp earth and terracotta pair beautifuly with the succulent fruit and violet flavors. There's a lovely tannin that coats your palate and an underipe tartness that prepares your mouth for your next bite of food and or sip. Our recommended pairing is a delicious sicilian style pepperoni pizza, a marvelous cheddar cheese and/or gruyer or a beautiful mushroom risotto. This wine is tasty now but also has room to age. 

Proprietor Recommendations:

There are two main reasons to decant a bottle of wine

1) Expose it to oxygen and open the wine up, particularly this is helpful with very young wines or wines aged 10-15 years.

2) Remove the wine off of the sediment which is particular to older bottles

We recommend when you open this wine to decant it for 45 minutes prior to consumption.
